3MT® at Memorial
Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) is a research communication competition developed in 2008 by The University of Queensland (UQ) in Australia. Nowadays, almost all universities around the world are arranging this competition among all graduate students every year. Research students have three minutes to present a compelling oration on their thesis and its significance. 3MT is not an exercise in trivializing or 'dumbing-down' research but challenges students to consolidate their ideas and research discoveries so they can be presented concisely to a non-specialist audience. Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada, also arranged this competition every year where all MS/Ph.D. students can get a floor to present their research work. An evaluation committee from full-time faculty members, Members of the Teaching Assistant of Memorial University (TAUMUN), Members of Graduate Student Associations (GSU), and graduate students (Audience) evaluating the performance of every presenter in 10 different skills and credentials. According to feedback from all committees, they finalized the decision of award. Every year three graduate students are getting this one of the prestigious awards from Memorial University, Canada.
On behalf of the ECE family, Many Congratulations to Md. Habibur Rahaman for winning the 3rd Prize on 3 MT Thesis competition, 2019 at the Memorial University, Canada.
